Gardening!
No, really! The best way to help the Community Gardens is by helping us take care of the Gardens! Stopping in once a week--or even every other week--can make a huge difference in the success of the Gardens! The Gardens succeeds when we become a true community effort, all of us coming together with a common goal of weeding, watering, and harvesting fresh vegetables for our neighbors in need.
Donating Items and Plants
Each spring, we put out a list of items we are looking for to help with the new season. Sometimes it's really small things, like paper grocery bags and popsicle sticks, and sometimes it's even the plants and seeds themselves! You'd be surprised how much we need to keep this little organization running!
Supporting the Gardens Financially
The Community Gardens is completely profitless--we don't have any fundraisers, and until 2022, we were existing almost entirely on a government grant and Thrivent Financial donations. The only other thing keeping us going was donations from other individuals who wanted to see us succeed! We have multiple ways to donate if this sounds like something you are interested in.
